EMERSON GAMBLE
Born in the mean streets of Old South London, Emerson Gamble is a grade 4 student at Lester B Pearson School for the Arts. A competitive dancer at Dance Steps Studio, Emerson loves visual art, singing and will be attending the pre professional training program at The National Ballet School of Canada this July. The middle of three boys, Emerson enjoys playing soccer, football and skiing. He thanks his family for all of their support and is excited about this cool opportunity.
Q. Describe the role you play in the production of The Gold Fish Bowl.
A. I play a young boy named Lennon. My parents have troubles, but they are trying to make my life better than their miserable life. My Dad has problems and I don’t want to be alone with him. My mom is my safe place.
Q. What are your special talents, passions you bring to your work on the movie?
A. I have a love for all Arts. Drama, music, visual and especially Dance. I’m excited about the one scene where I get to boogie with my mom.
Q. How do you want your character to connect with viewers?
A. I want the viewers to feel a little sorry for me. I’m just an innocent kid and have nothing really to do with why they fight.
Q. Explain how your character perceives the Winter family.
A. I think my mom is nice and my dad needs help. The Winters are not like my real family. We’re pretty ‘normal’, but Mara, my mom loves me and tries to protect me.
Q. What are the challenges in playing your character?
A. Trying to be sad and scared. I’ve never been through anything too traumatic- except for getting lost in Times Square. That was terrifying.
Q. Choose a role from any film and tell why you would have liked to have played it.
A. I’d love to have played the role of Iron Man in The Avengers. He’s hilarious and gets fly around in suit. What’s not to love?
Q. What professional actor do you think upstages most others? Why?
A. Jim Carrey. He’s hilarious and makes funny faces and noises. He also makes his body to weird things.
Q. Your fav sf flick, fantasy flick, animated, romance………?
A. SF- Star Wars- The Force Awakens
A. Fantasy- Harry Potter
Q. If you could make a documentary, what subject would you choose and why?
A. I’d like to investigate the ocean. I’d like to see what new creatures or places are there.
Q. Favourite directors, favourite scores, soundtracks?
A. I really like the soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy.
