MEG HOWALD Writer
In earlier days my passion for performance art led me to drama at University of Toronto. Not long after I designed and implemented Theatre Arts programs for both Simcoe and Thames Valley school boards. Needing to study film I went back to Concordia for media arts and video production.
2016 is a great year to produce The Gold Fish Bowl. The vast talent involved in this feature film is working from the heart to deliver haunting characters, driven to emotional extinction and new found revivalism.
Here's some more trivia: I'm a creative writing prof at Fanshawe College (London, Ontario). I embrace my diverse genealogy – a Scottish-Canadian dad and a Croatian-American mom. A rich and colourful combo that anchored me in both Western and European cultures. I've lived in three provinces, on two continents and by the hemlines of the Aegean, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the St. Lawrence, and the Great Lakes.
As a novelist, I'm passionately committed to developing powerful, historically-driven fictions with characters who transcend the boundaries of time and stereotype.
It's been great fun meeting the reading public at book signings at Indigo, Eaton's Center, Toronto, Guelph and London. I've enjoyed reviews of my books and doing interviews with supportive, medial personalities.
